refugees

Just thought I'd drop this in here. Received via work email, please note I have nothing to do with organising this, and apologise if anyone finds it spammy:
---------------------------------------------------

Refugee Services is looking forward to the next group of former-refugee families and singles from Myanmar-Burma and Colombia, resettling in our region in just 2 weeks.

It’s a quite a big group, and our furniture bank is still short of a few basic items for house set up. Help us turn a house into a home by donating nice second-hand furniture and by passing this message to your friends and networks. Many thanks!

We are looking for donations of:

Double and queen beds (we are especially short of bases)
Clean duvets and blankets
Curtains
Small dining tables
Washing machines
1 family-sized fridge

You can contact Fahima Haidari on 04-805-0304 or furniture@refugeeservices.org.nz to offer donated furniture items. Our van service will collect donated items on Thursday 16 February (within Wgtn, Hutt, and Porirua areas), and may arrange a second day is we have enough offers. Please note that we can only collect the listed priority items during this pre-arrival week.

Many thanks for your support!
